Purpose of this Web Site

This web site has a dual purpose

• It is designed to provide information to EMS providers which is essential to the continuous improvement of the emergency medical care provided in this area.
• It is also designed to provide a community health connection in the following areas:
• We need to know how to use 911 to access the EMS system in an emergency
• We need to know the symptoms of medical emergencies to be able to recognize the need to call EMS
• We need to know the basic components of emergency medical care that we can perform to be able to provide assistance until EMS arrives.
