Position
Announcement:
Region 6 BT
Coordinator
Kent County EMS
is seeking to fill this
full-time funded position. This
position is responsible for the
coordination of the Region 6
Medical Bio-Defense Network in
order to provide for the
continued development of the
program in order to improve the
capacity of the health care
system, including hospitals,
emergency departments, emergency
medical services system,
outpatient facilities, and other
health care entities to respond
to incidents requiring mass
immunization , isolation,
decontamination , diagnosis and
treatment, in the event of
public health emergencies. The
Coordinator must collaborate and
coordinate activities with the
regional and community emergency
management and public health
systems.
In order to
qualify for this position,
applicants must have the
following qualifications:

Bachelor’s
Degree in Management,
Nursing, Public
Administration or health
care related field or
equivalent combination of
education training and years
of experience.

Minimum of
five years EMS/Healthcare
experience required. One
years of experience in
disaster preparedness or
related field preferred.

Demonstrated
ability to communicate
effectively about field and
hospital response to a
variety of hospital-oriented
health care scenarios
required.
-
Demonstrated
ability to use personal
computer and MS Office
software required.
-
Effective
written and verbal
communication skills
required.
-
Excellent
customer service and
interpersonal skills
required.
-
Ability to
deal with individuals and
information in a
confidential manner.

Ability to
work independently in fast
paced and frequently
changing environment with
minimal supervision.

Ability to
function as a member of a
team.

Time
management and
organizational skills.
Independently mobile.
Flexibility to meet multiple
role responsibilities.

Unrestricted
Michigan Motor Vehicle
Operator’s license.
